No supplemental discipline coming for Devils’ Tootoo, Jackets’ Jenner

The NHL’s Department of Player Safety decided not to suspend Devils forward Jordin Tootoo and Blue Jackets forward Boone Jenner for a pair of incidents that occurred on Friday night.

Jenner was given a major penalty and a game misconduct for delivering a dangerous hit to Sabres defenseman Zach Bogosian in the third period of last night’s 4-0 loss to Buffalo (above).

Watch: Sabres goalie Robin Lehner snaps, wants to fight Jack Johnson.

Like Jenner, Devils forward Jordin Tootoo was tossed from yesterday’s game against the Islanders after dishing out a hit from behind on Johnny Boychuk.

Boychuk was visibly upset after the play and even slammed his stick against the boards as he was skating to the locker room.

He was able to return in the third period.
