PHT Morning Skate: Emilio Estevez supports Ducks as ‘Gordon Bombay’

PHT’s Morning Skate takes a look around the world of hockey to see what’s happening and what we’ll be talking about around the NHL world and beyond.

Emilio Estevez tweeted support for the Anaheim Ducks as “Coach Gordon Bombay,” including a Flying-V reference. No knuckle-pucks, but perhaps he’s saving that for a Game 6 or 7 if needed? His brother would probably respond with something about winning … (Estevez’s feed)

Bill Clinton takes in a Rangers game

Bill Clinton was at Madison Square Garden to see the New York Rangers’ 4-3 overtime win against the Florida Panthers, which places the Rangers back on top of the NHL. (One can only assume that he had to find out if the Panthers are for real. Right?) Clinton apparently received an ovation that was only on par to the one afforded a New York Giants tight end, which would be a bummer if that guy’s name wasn’t Bear Pascoe.*

* – That’s a spectacular name, but talk about giving a kid a lot of pressure to be rugged and awesome. Hopefully that’s how it reads on his birth certificate …
