Being that the Blue Jackets - Lightning Game 1 OT is already into a fifth overtime period, the Bruins and Hurricanes would’ve needed to begin Game 1 very late. One can only speculate how slushy the ice would be, too, considering how deep the Blue Jackets and Lightning went into OT.
Not to mention how tough it would have been on fans.
