Ducks’ Ritchie to have hearing for sucker punch on Blackhawks’ Rozsival

Nick Ritchie will have a hearing with the NHL’s Department of Players Safety for his sucker punch on ‘Hawks defenseman Michal Rozsival.

With 14 minutes left in the third period of last’s night game, Ritchie and Rozsival got into a bit of a tussle. Ritchie threw his gloves off right away and started swinging at Rozsival, who still had his gloves on.

The incident began after Rozsival cross-checked Corey Perry behind the Chicago net (Rozsival was given a penalty on the play).

Ritchie was given a match penalty, while Rozsival stayed down on the ice for a while.

The Ducks have one regular-season game left before the playoffs begin next week.
