The Capitals earned their second straight Presidents' Trophy thanks to a 2-0 win over the Rangers on Wednesday.

--Here’s an example of how cool Henrik Zetterberg is. On Tuesday, the Wings visited the Sens in Ottawa and during the wamup, Zetterberg banged into the boards a couple of times and knocked a fan’s beer over. Instead of ignoring what happened, Zetterberg went back to the bench, grabbed a stick, wrote an apology on it and gave it to the fan. (Ottawa Citizen)

--Have you wondered what Team USA’s Olympic hockey roster will look like now that we know the NHL won’t be participating in the games? Well, The Score took their best shot at putting together a roster by including former NHLers playing overseas and some of the top players in the AHL. Kenny Agostino, come on down! (The Score)

--MMA fighter Charles Rosa is good friends with Bruins forward Brad Marchand. What did Rosa think of Marchand’s spear to Jake Dotchin’s groin? “I think it’s just emotions, man. I used to play the same way. I wouldn’t really do too many cheap shots when I played hockey but if somebody gets under your skin—you don’t really know what’s going on behind the scenes, or what the guy is saying to him in front of the net. He could be saying something pretty dirty or something and sometimes you just snap.” (Sportsnet)

--The Washington Capitals clinched their second consecutive Presidents’ Trophy by beating the New York Rangers 2-0 on Wednesday night. You can watch the highlights from that game by clicking the video at the top of the page.

--Some people see Alex Ovechkin’s desire to go to the 2018 Olympics as selfish, but the Washington Post’s Dan Steinberg argues that no one would be saying those things if Ovechkin was an American athlete looking to represent his country. (Washington Post)

--Maple Leafs rookie Auston Matthews has been fantastic this season, but the team has still shielded him from the media and the public. He doesn’t do in-game interviews and his picture isn’t plastered all over the Air Canada Center. There’s a reason for all that. Here’s how GM Lou Lamoriello explained it: “I think people have to earn what they get, not because it’s a good media exposure or we’re always trying to look for something there. Somebody asked a while ago, what is the face of the franchise? The logo is the face of the franchise.” (Canadian Press)

--Arizona Coyotes fan, Devon, thought he was heading to the rink for a tour of the arena, but the ‘Yotes had way more in store for this young man with autism. They allowed him to meet all of his favorite players and he even got to be in the team picture.
