It’s likely a heartening sight for Colorado Avalanche fans to get an early look at 2015 first-rounder Tyson Jost. Especially with Bob McKenzie dropping a Jonathan Toews comparison on NBCSN earlier this week.
As much as the Avalanche get a look at Jost from a cold, analytical standpoint ... there’s also the emotional side of seeing Jost play in his first NHL game.
Jost’s grandfather cried tears of joy in seeing him play against the St. Louis Blues on Friday night, as you can see from these two great GIFs. It’s OK if it gets a little dusty in your given room, by the way.

The Avalanche ended up winning 2-1 via a shootout, but the Blues clinched a playoff spot in the process.
