The Los Angeles Kings and Toronto Maple Leafs played a heck of a hockey game on Thursday night with the Kings rallying from a two-goal third period deficit to pick up a massive 3-2 shootout win.
We can get to the details in a minute, but first we have to look at the save made by Kings goalie Jonathan Quick to secure the win when he robbed William Nylander with this absolutely mesmerizing behind-the-back save.

That, friends, is a highlight reel save, and it helped the Kings lock up a massive second point in the standings as they try to secure a playoff spot.
They ended up in the shootout after erasing a two-goal deficit to open the third period thanks to a pair of quick goals by Anze Kopitar and Tanner Pearson in the first two minutes.
Kopitar’s goal was the result of a fluke bounce off the face -- literally, the face -- of a Maple Leafs defender.

With that win the Kings moved back ahead of the Calgary Flames for the second wild card spot in the Western Conference.
The Maple Leafs, on the other hand, fall back behind the New York Islanders -- winners in Dallas on Thursday night -- by way of tiebreaker.
