It doesn’t happen often, but the Chicago Blackhawks fell in the first round in the 2016 postseason, a bitter defeat for Duncan Keith and the highly successful core of this team.
Tonight’s rivalry night matchup against the Minnesota Wild seems like a good time to revisit those losses, some of Chicago’s best successes and what it might take to get back there, as the Wild stand as a significant hurdle in the Blackhawks’ path.
At least, the Wild certainly seem that way right now, even if they’re deferential to the established Blackhawks.
Boudreau on #Blackhawks: "We know they’re going to be here to play tonight. We have to be at our best to keep up with them."
