Paul Stastny and Kenny Agostino each tallied a goal as Carter Hutton kept the Flyers out of the back of the net to shut out Philadelphia, 2-0, and move into a wild card spot.

--With his fifth Super Bowl win on Sunday, many have labelled Tom Brady as the best big-game player in football history. But if your hockey team played in a winner-take-all game, who would you want on your roster? The Hockey News’ roundtable gave their input on who they’d take, and hall of fame goalie Patrick Roy was the only player to receiver more than one vote. (The Hockey News)

--Patrik Laine, Jason Zucker and Cam Atkinson have all put together fantastic seasons so far, but Sportsnet’s Andrew Berkshire believes that there’s a good chance each of those players could see their production drop off down the stretch. (Sportsnet)

--Sports Business Daily breaks down the local television ratings for 21 of the NHL’s 30 teams (data for all the Canadian teams, the Hurricanes and the Predators weren’t available). In all, 12 of the 21 teams have seen their TV numbers decrease, with the Avalanche suffering the largest decline in ratings at 57 percent (almost as bad as their record). Of the nine teams that increased their ratings, the Blue Jackets lead the pack with a 110 percent increase in viewership. (Sports Business Daily)

--The Blues goalies have struggled over the last few weeks, but Carter Hutton came up with a solid performance in last night’s 2-0 win over the Philadelphia Flyers. You can watch the highlights from that game by clicking the video at the top of the page.

--Athletes in every sport often sign big contracts and get complacent, but not Marcus Johansson. The Capitals forward signed a three-year extension over the summer, and he’s done nothing but produce career-best numbers so far this season. “Some guys feel the weight of a contract,” coach Barry Trotz said. “Some guys actually get freed by not having to worry about a contract or anything like that. I think Marcus is a guy who needs to be assured that he’s part of the Capitals’ plan and he’s part of our process.” (Washington Post)

--The Arizona Coyotes are giving away a Larry Fitzgerald bobblehead on Saturday night, so it was only fitting that the Cardinals wide receiver hit the ice with the team on Monday afternoon. Sources say he wasn’t offered an NHL contract after practice.

--Rangers forward Kevin Hayes, who’s a huge New England Patriots fan, threw on his blue Tom Brady jersey before doing an interview with the New York media. Hayes called Brady the “greatst quarterback of all-time” and he took a jab at Falcons “fan” Mika Zibanejad. (MSG Network)
