Vernon Fiddler is going back to Nashville.
The New Jersey Devils sent the 36-year-old forward to the Predators on Saturday, in exchange for Nashville’s fourth-round pick in the 2017 draft.
Fiddler, an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season with a $1.25 million cap hit right now, has one goal and three points in 39 games this season.
Fiddler began his NHL playing career in Nashville, playing there from 2002 to 2009.
Meanwhile, the Devils, seven points out of a wild card spot in the East and with a 1.3 per cent chance of making the post-season, add yet another draft pick for this year.
