Here’s some good news if you’re a fan of the Chicago Blackhawks.

After missing 11 games with an upper-body injury, it looks like center Marcus Kruger will return to the lineup for tonight’s game against the Winnipeg Jets.

Kruger suffered the injury during a loss to the Carolina Hurricanes back on Dec. 30. At the time, head coach Joel Quenneville said he’d be week-to-week. In the end, he fell a day short of missing a full month of action.

The 26-year-old took part in today’s morning skate, and he was spotted skating on a line with Nick Schmaltz and Marian Hossa.

The ‘Hawks signed Kruger to a three-year, $9.25 million extension last March, but they’ve watched as his production has dried up over the last couple of seasons.

The two-time Stanley Cup champion had two goals and eight assists in 39 games before suffering the injury.
