After spending 11 years as a member of the Predators, the city of Nashville developed quite a bond with defenseman Shea Weber.

His time with the team came to an end over the summer when he was traded to the Montreal Canadiens in the blockbuster move for P.K. Subban.

On Tuesday night he made his first appearance in Nashville as a visiting player when the Canadiens made their only visit of the 2016-17 season. The Predators welcomed him back with an emotional video tribute during the first period that highlighted his time with the team.

Naturally, he received a lengthy standing ovation from the Nashville fans.

Weber has nine goals and 12 assists in 37 games with the Canadiens this season.

Another former Predator, Alexander Radulov, is also back in Nashville on Tuesday night with the Canadiens and he has not received quite the same welcome. He has been booed -- loudly and extensively -- for much of the evening after his tumultuous time with the team a few years back.
