You had to know this was going to happen.
Shea Weber played his first game in Nashville on Tuesday night as a visiting player and was welcomed back with an emotional video tribute during the first period.
In the third period, he made sure to make the return a memorable one by scoring a game-tying goal to help send the game to overtime -- where the Canadiens would win it on a Max Pacioretty goal -- when he ripped a quick wrist shot into the back of the net for his 10th goal of the season.
That goal was set up by the other former Predator playing for Montreal right now, Alexander Radulov, on a pretty fantastic pass.

Radulov, who is still a pretty unpopular figure in Nashville following his two exits from the team several years back, also set up Pacioretty’s game-winning goal in overtime.
But let’s talk about Weber some more since this was his night in Nashville. His goal will get the attention, but he was also Montreal’s best player all night and was an absolute force defensively. Through regulation the Predators managed just eight total shot attempts during 5-on-5 play when Weber was on the ice. Montreal had 25 during the same minutes.
Weber attempted nine shots on his own.
He spent 11 seasons with the Predators before being traded to Montreal this summer for P.K. Subban.
