You can use that description for the Columbus Blue Jackets’ remarkable start to the 2016-17 season, and you can also say that merely to describe the impressive goal Matt Calvert scored on Tuesday.
At that moment, Calvert gave the Blue Jackets a 3-0 lead against the Boston Bruins with that sprawling goal, but right now it stands as more crucial because Boston’s since made it 3-2.
Either way, it feels like a symbolic tally, but even if you roll your eyes at such talk ... it’s a pretty fun goal to watch. Check it out in the video above.
