Video: Rask-Marchand collision sets up Islanders for easy goal

Boston Bruins v Montreal Canadiens

Tuukka Rask and Brad Marchand are two of the Boston Bruins’ best players, and both have been pretty fantastic this season.

Marchand is leading the team with 27 points entering play on Tuesday, while Rask has been a human wall in the crease and bouncing back from what was a little bit of a down year in 2015-16. His .932 save percentage is good enough to get him into the top-10 among the league’s goalies this year.

Early in the first period of their game against the New York Islanders on Tuesday night they had a little bit of a communication problem.

As Rask was making a play on the puck behind the net, he could not get out of the way in time as Marchand came flying around. That resulted in a collision between the two players setting up Anders Lee for an easy tap-in goal.

Observe.

Probably not the way the Bruins drew that play up.

New York added to its lead a few minutes later on a Thomas Hickey goal.
