Per Fox Sports Midwest’s Andy Strickland, longtime NHL defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo has signed on with German League side Adler Mannheim.

It’s a significant change for Colaiacovo, who has bounced around the league over the last few years, yet always managed to secure some type of contract. He spent the ’15-16 campaign in Buffalo, scoring five points in 36 games and, the year prior to that, scored eight points in 33 games for the Flyers.

Colaiacovo has also logged time with the Blues, Red Wings and Maple Leafs -- Toronto originally took him in the first round (17th overall) of the 2001 draft.

In Germany, Colaiacovo will join a Mannheim club featuring a number of ex-NHLers, including Marcel Goc, Aaron Johnson, Danny Richmond, David Wolf and Jamie Tardif.
