–Former Orioles third baseman Cal Ripken Jr. spoke to the Washington Capitals. “He talked about everything from dealing with slumps to dealing with different situations, dealing with careers, dealing with longevity.” (

–On Tuesday, the Las Vegas team announced that they’d be called the “Golden Knights”. Sportsnet looked back on how each of the last 13 NHL teams came up with their team name. Let’s just say there was a lot of “name the expansion team” contests. (Sportsnet)

–Before playing against his old team last night, Bruins forward David Backes had some of his old teammates over for Thanksgiving dinner. “I tried to weigh them down with a bunch of steak and had my wife coming around with wine.” (The Score)

–Devils goalie Scott Wedgewood is a big “Seinfeld” fan. He took to his Instagram account to show off his mask that has a picture of David Puddy on the side.
