Report: Injury-riddled Kings recall Scuderi

Rob Scuderi is reportedly back in the National Hockey League.

According to L.A. Kings Insider Jon Rosen, the injury-riddled Kings on Monday recalled the 37-year-old defenseman from the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League.

This news comes a day after L.A. put fellow blue liner Brayden McNabb on injured reserve.

The Kings placed Scuderi on waivers prior to the beginning of the regular season.

A Stanley Cup champion with the Kings in 2012, Scuderi is in the final year of a four-year, $13.5 million deal.

The Kings re-acquired Scuderi last season, sending Christian Ehrhoff to the Chicago Blackhawks as part of the deal.

The injury situation in L.A. worsened over the weekend, as forward Andy Andreoff left Sunday’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks with an upper-body injury.
