Video: Of course P.K. Subban scored in his Predators debut

P.K. Subban's debut with Nashville got off to a great start as he scored on a power play in the first.

Well, that didn’t take long.

P.K. Subban needed just eight minutes in a Nashville Predators uniform to get his first goal with the team when he blasted a slap shot from the blue line behind Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford.

As soon as Subban was acquired over the summer from the Montreal Canadiens, it was assumed that he was going to be a perfect fit for Peter Laviolette’s aggressive run-and-gun system.

Already one of the most productive blue liners in the league, he is now playing in a system that should play to his strengths as a player and is surrounded by a fantastic core of defensemen. It is a situation that could allow him to reach a level of play that we have never seen from him before.

His goal on Friday tied the game, 1-1, after Chicago’s Marcus Kruger scored earlier in the period.
