Washington Capitals forward Jay Beagle is a lot like every other bottom-six player in the NHL.
When compared to the top-line players in the league he is clearly a step or two below them, but he still possesses an incredible level of talent as a hockey player that pretty much everybody else in the general population does not. These are the big leagues. Everybody is good.
During the Capitals’ preseason game against the St. Louis Blues in Kansas City on Wednesday night, Beagle gave us a great example as to how true that is: By perfectly pulling off the Evgeny Kuznetsov behind-the-back centering pass from behind the net.
It was perfect, and it set up T.J Oshie for his second goal of the night.

The goalie never had a chance.
That is the same move that Beagle’s teammate, Evgeny Kuznetsov, has made a habit out of using in the NHL. Beagle obviously took a page out of his playbook.
