Sabres forward Evander Kane was in a Buffalo courtroom on Monday morning and pleaded not guilty to charges following an incident at a downtown bar in June.

The 24-year-old Kane was charged by Buffalo police with misdemeanor criminal trespass, non-criminal disorderly conduct and four counts of non-criminal harassment. The charges came after three woman allege that Kane grabbed them by the neck and hair, while a bouncer at the bar also claimed to have had an encounter with Kane on that night.

Kane was arrested on July 22 and later released.

The case is due back in Buffalo court on September 9, according to the Buffalo News.

Sabres general manager Tim Murray said in July that his patience is growing thin with Kane. This is the second time in his short time with the Sabres that Kane has faced legal issues. In March prosecutors announced that Kane would not face charges following a three-month sexual assault investigation.

The Sabres acquired Kane in a trade from the Winnipeg Jets in February, 2015.
