It’s a busy time in the hockey calendar. General managers and team executives are working the phones, preparing for the upcoming NHL Draft and free agency.

Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan had a pretty important phone call on Wednesday -- with President Barack Obama.

Pens TV captured the brief conversation between Sullivan and Obama, who called to congratulate the Pittsburgh bench boss on his team’s Stanley Cup championship, the second for the Penguins in the last eight years.

“I started off my presidency with a Penguins Stanley Cup, and I’m now ending it with a Penguins Stanley Cup,” said Obama to Sullivan.
