Ottawa has found a replacement for Rick Wamsley — on Friday, the club announced that longtime NHL goaltending guru Pierre Groulx would become its new goalie coach.

Groulx has held similar roles in Florida, Montreal and AHL Portland prior to taking this Sens gig and in taking it, he reunites with a familiar face from his Panther days — Craig Anderson, who spent three seasons under Groulx from 2006-09.

Per a report from NHL.com’s Kevin Woodley, Ottawa originally offered the position to Vancouver goalie guru Rollie Melanson, who turned down the gig in order to stay on with the Canucks in a developmental role.
