Max Reinhart is taking his talents overseas. The 24-year-old has signed a deal with the Cologne Sharks of the German League.
He was a third round pick of the Flames back in 2010, but was never able to establish himself as a full-time NHLer. Reinhart never played more than 11 games during each of his three NHL seasons.
Reinhart last played in the NHL during the 2014-15 season when he had no points and a minus-3 rating in four contests with the Calgary Flames. On July 1st, 2015, Reinhart was traded to the Nashville Predators for a conditional fourth round pick.

Reinhart never suited up for the Preds, but put up 23 goals and 38 points in 73 games with the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) last season.
“Max Reinhart is a young, dynamic player who can be used at both center and wing,” said Cologne’s Director of Sport Mark Mahon in a release (quotes have been translated). “He is strong offensively and has a good shot.”
With Cologne, he’ll be coached by former Ottawa Senators coach Cory Clouston. Former NHLers on the squad include: Ryan Jones, Shawn Lalonde (one game with the ‘Hawks), Alexander Sulzer and former teammate Corey Potter.
