Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Brian Dumoulin’s first career Stanley Cup playoff goal gave his team the lead late in the first period of Sunday’s Game 5 versus the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Joining the rush in the dying seconds, Dumoulin buried a rebound on Bolts’ goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy with 1.6 seconds left.
The goal was the result of a determined rush by Bryan Rust, who was able to power his way by Victor Hedman and drive the Tampa Bay net. His attempt was denied, but Dumoulin was there to cash-in on the second opportunity.
The Penguins took a two-goal lead just 1:30 into the second period on a goal from Patric Hornqvist.
