Tyler Johnson leaves the ice early during pre-game warm-ups after taking a puck off the face.

You always have to be aware of what’s going on on the ice, even during the pregame warmup.

The Lightning got a bit of a scare minutes before the start of Game 4. Forward Tyler Johnson was participating in the warmup when he took a puck to the face.

Tampa Bay, who’s already without Ben Bishop and Steven Stamkos, have to be wondering what they’ve done to deserve this tough luck.

After the incident, Johnson went back to the Lightning locker room. He presumably had some work done to his face before coming out for the game.

The Lightning center started off with a full cage. He then changed to a full shield before going back to the cage.

He played 5:31 in the first period.

Tampa Bay leads 2-0 after 20 minutes.
