Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Ben Bishop has left Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final in the first period after an awkward fall in the crease on a Pittsburgh Penguins scoring chance.
After writhing on the ice in pain, Bishop needed to be taken off the ice on a stretcher. He appeared to be favoring his left leg.
Back-up goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy entered the game for Tampa Bay.
This could be a huge loss for the Lightning, depending on how severe any possible injury may be for Bishop.
Bishop, 29, has been great for Tampa Bay in these playoffs, with an 8-2 record and a .938 save percentage.
