Injuries keep striking Lightning as Namestnikov, Killorn seem worse for wear

Give the Tampa Bay Lightning credit for taking it to the New York Rangers through the first period, yet the hits keep coming for the Bolts.

Even if these two players end up only bruised, it’s disturbing for the Lightning to see two players leave at least temporarily during this game.

First, Alex Killorn took an un-penalized high stick and is either injured or merely needs some stitches/dental repairs.

The uglier moment came late in the first. Tanner Glass received a game misconduct for interference thanks to his questionable hit on Vladislav Namestnikov, who definitely seemed shaken up. (Jon Cooper, meanwhile … looked very angry.)

The Bolts are already down Ryan Callahan, Victor Hedman, Steven Stamkos and Anton Stralman, so Tuesday could prove to be another significant setback … even if they win.

Update: On the bright side, it appears as though both Killorn and Namestnikov returned.
