Nazem Kadri will have a hearing with the NHL’s Department of Player Safety for his cross-check on Red Wings forward Luke Glendening. The incident occurred during Saturday’s game at the Air Canada Center.

Kadri was given a two-minute penalty on the play, but it looks like he might be facing a stiffer penalty in the coming days.

The play started with Kadri and Glendening getting tangled up in the corner. The Leafs forward ended up falling down, losing his helmet and losing his cool. Kadri took several strides to the front of his team’s net before delivering this vicious cross-check (below).

After the game, Kadri admitted that the officials made the correct decision by giving him a penalty, per the Toronto Sun.

Earlier this week, he was fined $5,000 for three separate dives over a two-month span. We’ll see if his wallet gets even lighter after his hearing on Monday.
