Video: Fasching scores first goal in first period of first NHL game

Fasching1

Well, that didn’t take very long.

Earlier today, PHT mentioned that Hudson Fasching would make his NHL debut against the Winnipeg Jets. It didn’t take him very long to have an immediate impact on the game. The 20-year-old found the back of the net in the first period of his first game with the Sabres.

Wow! That’s a pretty impressive play to get around Jets defenseman Jacob Trouba. His goal came at the 8:37 mark of the opening frame.

Fasching knows a thing or two about scoring goals. He had 20 goals in 37 games with the University of Minnesota in 2015-16.

Casey Nelson, who’s also making his NHL debut for Buffalo this afternoon, picked up an assist on Fasching’s goal.
