NEWARK, N.J. (AP) New Jersey Devils forward Mike Cammalleri is not going to play again this season.

Coach John Hynes announced Tuesday that Cammalleri is not going to be able to play because of an injury to his right hand and wrist. He has not played since Jan. 26.

Hynes refused to disclose the exact nature of the injury, but said Cammalleri would not need surgery.

Cammalleri had 14 goals and 24 assists in 42 games.

Goaltender Cory Schneider practiced on Tuesday for the first time since spraining a knee earlier this month. There is a chance he may be able to play this weekend, Hynes said.
