It’s rare to see a player get a ton of time and space during an NHL game, but Ducks forward Jakob Silfverberg had plenty of both on Sunday.
With Anaheim and Winnipeg tied at two in overtime, Silfverberg found himself all alone in front of Michael Hutchinson. The Jets goalie was able to make the initial save, but he just couldn’t keep the puck out on the following opportunity.
It’s safe to say that’s not exactly how the Jets drew that up.
The win gives the Ducks (second in the Pacific Division) a three-point lead over the San Jose Sharks (third in the Pacific Division).
