OK, NHL officials getting hit/hurt really might be this season’s “mumps.”
Yet another example occurred on Wednesday, as Edmonton Oilers forward Mark Letestu accidentally bumped referee Dave Jackson.
You can see how it all happened in the video above.
In this case, there were some jokes about missed calls.

Sounds like Jackson is rubbing some dirt on it.
Replay shows Letestu blew a tire, slid into the corner and took Jackson out at the knee. He's a hockey ref, so he's staying in the game.
