Uh oh: Ryan Getzlaf missed Ducks’ game due to lower-body injury

The good news is that the Anaheim Ducks are in much better condition than they were the last time Ryan Getzlaf was injured.

That’s even true in the smallest sense, as the Ducks are hoping to hold onto a 2-0 lead against the Arizona Coyotes; if they do so, that would mark 10 straight wins.

In a broader sense, they’re jockeying with the Los Angeles Kings for the top position in the Pacific Division, so they can afford to let Getzlaf heal. He’s considered day-to-day, so ... maybe this is just a small concern?

As that Tweet indicates, there’s a chance he might play in what could be a significant Saturday game against said Kings. We’ll need to wait and see in that regard.
