The Ottawa Senators have had bad injury luck lately, and that trend continued on Thursday.
As you can see from the video above, Mark Borowiecki hit the boards awkwardly after a seemingly innocuous collision with Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Matt Carle.
The play-by-play accurately stated that Borowiecki seemed uncomfortable right away, flexing his leg after that bump. It turns out he wasn’t feeling great for a reason, as the Senators label him as out indefinitely with a lower-body injury.

Ottawa’s playoff hopes are slim, so losing more players to injury only makes that situation look less optimistic.
