Don’t worry, hockey fans, it doesn’t look like Mike “Doc” Emrick is leaving the sport for baseball.
It must be said, though, that once he “divorced himself from cheering,” Emrick’s velvety-smooth voice fit quite well with the Pittsburgh Pirates spring training action this week.

As Hardball Talk notes, Emrick is also expected to sit in for a while during the Pirates’ broadcast against the Boston Red Sox on March 9.
