Shayne Gostisbehere just keeps scoring.
It seemed like his impressive point streak might come to an end during the Philadelphia Flyers’ eventual 5-4 overtime win against the Toronto Maple Leafs, even with the score pretty high.
The reason was simple: Gostisbehere was clobbered by Daniel Winnik, leaving plenty of Flyers fans worried that he wouldn’t finish the game, let alone continue his torrid pace.
Nope, that may have slowed “Ghost” down a bit, but he did what’s almost becoming the usual for him at this point, extending his streak to 15 games with at least one point thanks to yet another overtime goal:
These stats will give you an idea of how special his season’s been so far:
.@s_ghost14 is 1st rookie w/ 4 #NHLOT goals in a season, besting previous record of 3 (Malone: 2003-04, Crosby: 2005-06, Cogliano: 2007-08)

Astounding stuff. Perhaps the sort of work that might just give him a real shot at the Calder?
