The Toronto Maple Leafs will be unveiling their new logo on Tuesday.

The club will be playing their centennial season in 2016-17 and since they haven’t altered their logo since 1987, they decided now was the time to change things up.

Sportslogos.net, who broke the story, has an idea of what the new logo will look like.

Here’s an excerpt from the website:

According to several of my good friends, all of which are named “anonymous reliable source”, the Leafs new crest will appear kinda like a healthy mix between the two logos they used during the 1966/67 season, their last as Stanley Cup Champions.

The Leafs changed their logo before the 1967 playoffs in a style similar to the new national flag to celebrate Canada’s 100th birthday.

These two logos have been, by far, the most popular retro looks the club has used and sold merchandise for in recent years. The team has in the past worn an alternate jersey featuring the earlier 60s leaf for most of the 2000s decade, while the other 60s leaf has graced their current alternate uniform since 2011.
