Video: Pavelski completes pretty passing play to give San Jose the lead

It’s been a great weekend for Joe Pavelski and the San Jose Sharks.

Not only did Pavelski pick up three points (including the game-winning goal) in Saturday’s win over the Minnesota Wild, but he also finished off a pretty passing play to give the Sharks a 1-0 lead over the Kings on Sunday night.

As you can tell from the video at the top of the page, Joe Thornton did a great job to win the puck below the goal line. Thornton found teammate Tomas Hertl in the slot, and he put the puck on a silver platter for Pavelski.

Pavelski has 28 goals and 48 points in 47 games this season. He’s on pace to hit the 40-goal mark for the second time in his career.

The Sharks still lead 1-0 early in the third period.
