Pittsburgh found themselves trailing early after Canucks forward Jannick Hansen opened the scoring just 27 seconds into the game.
Hansen used a burst of speed up the right wing to blow by Penguins defenseman Olli Maatta before beating Marc-Andre Fleury with a wrist shot.

Hansen also added a shorthanded goal later on the in the first period to extend Vancouver’s lead to 2-0.
