The New Jersey Devils are hanging in there, but it’s clear that they missed Mike Cammalleri.
They went 3-5-0 in the eight games that Cammalleri sat out with a hand injury, so it’s clear that they’ll enjoy having the veteran forward back. (He’s excited to be back, too, to little surprise.)
As top-heavy as the Devils are, Cammalleri’s clearly the biggest difference-maker; he’s still the leading point producer on the Devils with 35 points (Kyle Palmieri’s second with 32 in eight more contests).
The Devils face Cammalleri’s former team in the Calgary Flames tonight, so he may be even more pumped up.
