Sunday’s 5-2 win over the New York Rangers will be bittersweet for the Washington Capitals.
The Caps will be thrilled that they got three goals from Justin Williams, but they also have to worried that Braden Holtby was forced from the game because of dehydration.
Williams has turned out to be a sneaky-good pickup for Washington. The 34-year-old has seven points in his last five games, and he has 16 goals and 31 points in 45 games this season.

As for Holtby, this isn’t the first time he’s dealt with hydration issues. He was forced to leave a practice earlier this season because of similar circumstances.
After the game, head coach Barry Trotz said his goaltender is trying to get the problem sorted out.

The Rangers will be disappointed by the loss to a division rival, but they have to be thrilled that Chris Kreider has found his scoring touch. The 24-year-old scored three goals in two games this weekend.
