In a game filled with controversial calls, Jakub Voracek led the Flyers with an assist and the shootout winner. Michal Neuvirth had 29 saves in the 2-1 win, while Detroit's Petr Mrazek made 30.

Flyers fans always get nervous when their team heads to a shootout, and it’s easy to see why.

Coming into Sunday’s action, Philadelphia was just 1-4 in shootout’s this season, and they’ve also been so bad at it since its inception.

Not only did the Flyers win this one, they also converted on two of their three attempts.

After Pavel Datsyuk got Detroit on the board in the second round, Claude Giroux beat Petr Mrazek with a great move:

Brad Richards missed for the Red Wings before Jakub Voracek scored to give his team a 2-1 win.

There was an ugly incident in the first period when Flyers forward Ryan White nailed Tomas Jurco with a blindside hit to the head. White was given a match penalty for the hit.
