The Philadelphia Flyers came into Saturday’s tilt on a four-game winning streak and had it not been for Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist, they may have extended that streak to five.
Lundqvist stopped 34 of 36 shots (and three more in the shootout) in New York’s 3-2 win in Philadelphia.
The 33-year-old also become the first goaltender in NHL history to win at least 20 games in each of his first 11 seasons in the NHL.

Brayden Schenn opened the scoring with an easy tap-in goal before J.T. Miller tied it at one at the first intermission.
Despite outshooting New York 11-4 in the second period, The Flyers still found themselves down by a goal when Chris Kreider gave the Rangers a 2-1 lead.
Jakub Voracek, Claude Giroux and Wayne Simmonds were able to connect on this pretty passing play to tie the game in the third period:
After Lundqvist robbed Shayne Gostisbehere in the final minute of overtime, it was Mats Zuccarello’s time to shine in the shootout (above).
