Video: Flyers honor Schultz for hitting 1000-game mark

Prior to Saturday’s game against the Rangers, the Philadelphia Flyers had a pregame ceremony to honor Nick Schultz for playing in his 1000th NHL game.

Schultz hit the mark in Wednesday’s contest against the Boston Bruins.

The 33-year-old started his career with the Minnesota Wild before moving on to play for Edmonton, Columbus and now Philadelphia.

Schultz is in his second year with the Flyers.

It was quite an impressive haul of gifts for the veteran defenseman, who got the traditional silver stick and more during the ceremony.

And bonus, who doesn’t like a good song by The Killers?

You can watch the entire pregame ceremony by clicking on the video at the top of the page.
