The Detroit Red Wings have activated Teemu Pulkkinen from injured reserve.
The 24-year-old hasn’t played since he injured his shoulder in a game against the Arizona Coyotes on Dec. 3 (18 games).
He exited the game after being hit by ‘Yotes forward Martin Hanzal (above).

It’s unclear if Pulkkinen will suit up in Sunday’s game against Philadelphia. He was rotating with Joakim Andersson on Detroit’s fourth line during Saturday’s practice, per Ansar Khan.
*Update: He’ll play tomorrow.

Pulkkinen has six goals and 11 points in 24 games this season.
The Wings are in a good spot in the Atlantic Division. They trail first place Florida by four points, but Detroit has one more Regulation/overtime win than the Panthers. They’re three points ahead of third place Tampa Bay.
