The Pittsburgh Penguins likely had a few anxious moments Friday when defenseman Kris Letang was hurt on what seemed like a clean hit along the boards during the second period against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
After the hit, Letang can be seen on the bench in pain, however he did remain in the game, playing nine shifts in the third period and another in overtime, as per NHL.com.
In a back-and-forth game between two teams battling for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, the Lightning defeated the Penguins 5-4 in overtime. Vladislav Namestnikov recorded the hat trick, including the winner in the three-on-three session.
