It had been a while since ‘Hawks forward Marian Hossa found the back of the net (14 games to be exact).
Not only did he put an end to the slump early in the second period of Sunday’s 6-3 win over Colorado, but he added a second goal in the frame for good measure.
Hossa was the only Blackhawk to score on both Semyon Varlamov and Calvin Pickard.
Here’s the first one:

Chicago also got a pair of goals from Patrick Kane (who played keep-away with three Avs players), Brandon Mashinter and Jonathan Toews.
The win extends the Blackhawks’ winning streak to seven games. They’re just four points back of Dallas for top spot in the Central Division.
This was Colorado’s second regulation loss in their last seven contests. The Avs are tied with Nashville for the final Wild Card spot in the West, but the Preds now have a game in hand.
