Flyers’ Gostisbehere (lower-body injury) will not return versus Wild

Philadelphia Flyers’ defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere will not return to tonight’s game versus the Minnesota Wild.

Gostisbehere has a lower body injury and will not return to the game.

Gostisbehere appeared in just two shifts in the second period and 1:25 of ice time. In total, he logged just 10 shifts and 7:31 of ice-time before heading to the locker room.

The 22-year-old rookie has seven goal and nine assists for 16 points in 22 games, prior to entering tonight’s game, since being recalled to the Flyers on Nov. 14. His 16 points leads the Flyers defense and is tied for the lead among all rookie defensemen, while his seven goals lead all rookie blueliners.
