The NHL and the NHLPA have decided to educate their players on domestic violence, sexual assault and sexual harassment, per TSN’s Darren Dreger.
According to Dreger, each team will be visited by independent professionals over the next few weeks. The program started on Monday in Buffalo and will run through the month of February.
Three teams, including the Columbus Blue Jackets, are already believed to have been given the presentation.
The NHL has been looking to implement this kind of program since last season.
Some of the league’s players have been involved in cases of domestic violence and sexual assault in the last few years.
